Clear Blue Sky

Ebron, the Sky World, is a realm of endless skies and drifting floating islands. Once untouched, it has become the site of Hope, a sprawling penal colony established by the Ethans. Eth, rejecting the death penalty as barbaric, exiles its worst criminals—murderers, thieves, and other outcasts—to Ebron, offering them a slim chance at redemption. Here, convicts are tasked with harvesting the rare and precious floatwood, a resource vital for constructing Eth’s famed flying ships. Despite its harshness, Hope inspires many to build better lives, driven by the promise of freedom and self-reliance.

The Ethans have adapted to Ebron’s challenges, binding islands together with floatwood bridges and connecting them via a steam-powered monorail. However, survival on Ebron is fraught with danger. The skies are home to deadly creatures, including Harpies, Griffons, and Wyrms, but most terrifying are the Dragons—highly intelligent beings capable of controlling the elements with devastating precision. These Dragons conjure storms, spew fire, and unleash poisonous clouds, making life on Ebron perilous and unpredictable.

In their desperation, some convicts have formed cults worshiping the Dragons, defying the Ethan state religion of Magnacious, God of Innovation and Clockwork. These cults perform grisly sacrifices in hopes of appeasing the Dragons, though the creatures seem indifferent, continuing their attacks and feeding on the Ethans regardless. The state of Eth, however, remains detached from the suffering on Ebron, viewing the colony as expendable. To them, the value of floatwood outweighs the lives lost, and they continue to send more convicts to keep the operation alive.

Ebron remains a place of both desperation and resilience, where hope flickers against overwhelming odds. For the Ethans of Hope, every day is a fight for survival in a world both breathtaking and deadly, as they battle the skies and the demons within themselves to carve out a fragile existence.
